Update

I went to the neurologist today again. He said I had a positive hoffman's both hands and hyperreflexia. He is sending me for another mri of the brain. He ordered more labs. Then he wants to do a lumbar puncture. He also mentioned sarcoidosis as a possibility.

Just read your other post. Glad you were able to see the doctor and that he’s investigating further. I hope you get some answers one way or another.

Thank you. Hoffmans is a reflex you shouldn't have I guess. He was flicking my fingernails. Not sure exactly what it means.

+ Hoffmans I think it suggests there may be something compressing the cervical spinal cord and affecting the central nervous system...its non specific and can sometimes be a normal finding in some people

It sounds like you have a good Dr. since he's ordering tests for you. Hoffmans is a sign of something affecting your central nervous system. I hope you feel better.

It must be hard to hear these things, but I'm so happy that you are on your way to a diagnosis. We can't treat well what we can't identify.

At this point I don't even care what it is, just hope they can do something for it. My mri will be done on Sunday.

Wriggles when I was in the process of a dx my neuro. thought I might have sarcoidosis. It was only after some more testing that they settled on MS. Best wishes as you continue this process.
