I thought this could be a fun Post in which we could share our vacation plans for the summer and make everyone in the chat room Green With Envy over the awesome plans we have made! On a side note we can also help to inspire one another to try different vacation ideas that we have never thought of or that we thought would become possible due to our MS.
Unfortunately I'm one of the ones that will be Green With Envy. I am afraid my vacation plans will have to be on hold until I see what my knee surgery will entail and how long I will be laid up because of it. Of course if I had my druthers I would be going someplace like Missouri, Illinois, or perhaps Indiana to go horseback riding ๐ for several days and spend the time relaxing and camping ๐with my husband and my sons! So what's very important for those of us who have to put plans on hold at this time for health reasons is to share your ideas with us so we can live vicariously through you! It will help to brighten our moods if you can share details and experiences that you enjoyed during your vacation!
Cough your ideas up! Are you headed to the beach๐โโ๏ธ, to the mountains, to a big city ๐ฝor to a national park๐? Or perhaps you're going someplace in between๐ข๐ช๐โ๐ข! Let's hear them and share with us your details. Yep we want details details details! I can't wait to hear them! Fancy.

My husband and I are taking a week in June, a week in July and a week in August to spend at our cabin in the Catskill Mountains of NY. We normally go on weekends from the end of April to mid November, but there is nothing like being there for at least a week to really relax and enjoy the peace and serenity of the the mountains! Not sure how to include a picture.
Memorial Day Week-end, a good girlfriend and I are taking off for the mountains. There is a 100 mile bike ride she will ride and I will drive along as a support driver. We had ridden the ride together for many years, it's not quite the same, but the area is so beautiful and I still get to participate. Wish I could post the pictures from last year. We had so much fun!
In October, a group of us will go to Clearlake CA for a ride called Konocti Challenge. Again, it is a beautiful area and I had ridden the 100K (65 mile) ride for many years. I bring sandwich fixings for the first night and the ride Hosts provide a huge after ride meal the next day. There's usually 6-8 of us. We all stay at the same Lakeside Motel,(very nice) and the ride starts and finishes there. Again, a beautiful area to share with friends. My hubby stays home with the kitty and has a good time watching golf uninterrupted!๐
okay so this is a shot in the dark for me. I don't have the money to travel yet. But I just got my passport just in case. Someone from Ireland just posted about taking a trip to Spain in a few weeks. So it got me to thinking. I would love to go to Ireland. So now I'll just have to wait and see how it happens. Funny how my life works that way. ~terry
I'm going to San Antonio to watch my youngest son graduate from Air force basic training then on to Sacramento to visit with my oldest son and his wife at the end of June. In August I'm heading up to Republic, Michigan to attend my neice's wedding then straight down to Tampa, Florida to drop my 3rd son off for college. I'm driving for all of that. I hate flying and the more I have to do it the more I hate it. I've gotten to the point that if I had the choice to walk to the location or fly there, I'd rather walk...and i can't walk very far at a time anymore. I used to be able to do 20 miles a day easy peasy. Now I'm lucky if i can squeak out 6 miles without being exhausted. Driving should be fun though. Bring as much water as I want and can stop when I want and have the option of kicking unruly obnoxious passengers out if want. ๐ My truck my rules!๐ My husband will arrive from Italy a few days before leaving for Texas. Those trips will finish off all of my use it or lose it leave that must be used by the end of December. For 18 months many years ago me, myself, and I were holding down a three person shop all by our little lonesome and couldn't take any leave. I've barely been able to use all the use it or lose it time within the cutoff time. If I don't have to use anymore of my leave time this year, I'll have almost 7 weeks of use or lose time next year. I like being in that boat because I can't be denied the ability to use the time when I want. ๐
Itโs hard for me to believe, but my darling husband is taking me on an Alaskan quilting cruise in August! I just pray I donโt spend the week vomiting!
Think good thoughts or you'll have a self-fulfilling prophecy and be sick the entire trip! Do not worry yourself about problems before they arise. This big cruise ships are so smooth you really have little to no motion whatsoever on them unless you hit really rough Seas. They are stabilized to death! I'm so Green With Envy!
Myself and my sister r just back from a 4 day break in Benidorm Spain was fab just chilling no work cooking cleaning and no kids lol temperature were in the 20โs loved it โ the thing Iโm most looking forward to is me and hubby r going to Mexico for my 50th at the start of October I donโt mind telling use guys Iโm wishing the year away waiting for it 2 weeks in the sun x
