This is my mountain bike I ride and it happens to be Orange just like MS awareness color. I’ve rode this bike since I was diagnosed with MS in 2013 when I no longer could run. I used to be a runner. I ride it about 3 days a week around neighborhood for a few miles or bike to local canal and take bird pics. It’s my reprieve and I combined my two fave hobbies in one, lol.
Bike riding helps strengthen my legs more even though lately, I’ve been having more physical challenges with my right side going out, but thankfully, I’ll be receiving help for this problem.
I’ll just keep fighting and pushing through any obstacle that comes in my path. This has been a huge lesson for me, since I had MS-Never give up! 🥊
I want to say-I appreciate the support, kindness and encouragement I’ve received from so many of you in this group. Great friends here! Thank you! Nikki

Indeed, thank you! Yes, I try to focus on things everyday that make me happy despite these physical challenges, but sometimes a boulder in my path can be very challenging and I have to figure out how to get around it.
i tried to but i just want to tip over but i haven't tried for quit a while i guess i should get the bike out again and try ...i really miss riding ...sure would be nice my husband bought me a three wheeler bike and i still felt like i would tip so just don't ride so i guess i should try again...thank you for bringing this up for it is a great exercise and it would help me loose some of this extra insulation i am caring around yes would be wonderful ...keep your fingers crossed for me ...take care and enjoy it..for me ..
Get a recumbent trike! The National MS Society helped me pay for mine. The seat is so comfortable and since you're low to the ground, unless you are going super fast down a hill and make a sharp turn there's no way you'd flip it. So much fun!
thank you i will have to try to get one...again thank you very much...i do really miss riding the bike it has been lots of years that i have gotten to ride...
Hope you’re able to get a trike that Mrs. Mike suggested. That would be helpful for your balance or you may want to look into a recumbent bike for indoors. I bought one for about $250 from Sears online a few years ago and works well. It gets way too hot during summers here in Arizona so I needed a backup.
Nice that you're still on a 2 wheeler. My big MS experience, just prior to being diagnosed, was falling off my bike when my legs stopped working all of a sudden. Broke my arm/shoulder in 4 places. Now I have a recumbent trike so I can get my exercise, don't worry about falling, and look cool at the same time!!
Wow, so sorry to hear about your fall and bad injury. That must have hurt so badly. Your bike trike sounds cool and glad you can still bike.
I’ve fallen twice in this year so far when I was stationary on bike not riding it, but straddling it and talking to my hubby at same time then down I went which didn’t look cool at the time, lol but realized I can’t do that anymore. My hubby told me to first get off bike then place it on kickstand before I talk to him or anyone. Great idea And lesson learned! 🤔 Multi-tasking with talking, coordination, balance and MS doesn’t mix much.
When I fell I hit my upper arm on the bumper of a truck, then hit the pavement. 3 breaks going down my bone and then an entire piece of bone was broken off. Pain!!! My regular bike was given immediately to my oldest daughter.
Thank you, nicoly3467 for sharing this photo! You are giving me hope to take up bicycling again, and perhaps training wheels might be the way for me to go! Keep Smiling
I just did a post with a photo of my trike and tagged you so you wouldn't miss it. It's in our garage next to the new bathroom door! Yes, we are making progress on that bathroom!!
