Vitamin B
ssdw1958 , I have heard nothing about Ocrevus depleting vitiman b. It does however deplete the b cells in the amune system. Those are the cells that are responsible for attacking the nerve endings in the brain. This is the first I have heard of this. I also tried looking it up and was unable to find any information on those regards. I am interested in knowing where that is because I would like to see if I am missing any information about Ocrevus.
ssdw1958 , Ocrevus is a B-cell depletion therapy. B-cells are a type of white blood cell that makes up a large part of the immune system, they have nothing to do with vitamin B.
Ocrevus selectively targets a particular type of B cell that is attacking the myelin in the brain and thought to be causing MS (more or less). These misdirected B cells start to come back in about six months, which is why infusions after the first two are scheduled at six month intervals. They want to keep the "bad" B cells suppressed. Hope that helps to clarify a bit.
