One of the grocery stores near me must have upped their air conditioning. After stumbling into the store, I was able to walk around without pushing a cart. And Wow! the aisles were pretty wide without all the usual people in there.

Yep...I always volunteer to go into the walk in freezer to get frozen fish for the birds of prey 👍

It's a beautiful sunny 75 here in the mountains today with no humidity. I've been out on the back deck most of the day, waiting for the humming birds to find the hanging fuschia plants. I'm finally starting to relax and enjoy retirement!

We should start an summer MS colony up here high in the NC mountains. johnMSAA Maybe you could spark an interest with MSAA for a summer convention or something.

I'll bet taking pictures of hummingbirds takes a really fast shutter! I saw one here and thought about taking a picture and it had already flown away.

Sounds like a wonderful place you have! I haven't been to the mountains in NC in years! I'm trying to remember the name where a friends parents had a campground-does Lake Lune (Lure???) sound familiar?

I can't seem to type after I put a person's name in, so I will just post to the air! I have an uncle and 2 cousins that all have cabins on Roan MT in N.C. It is beautiful there, and cool. If we could afford it, I would be there in a heartbeat!

agapepilgrim We are very close to Roan Mt, 30 minutes. We've been there hiking once and plan to go back again. Yes, it is beautiful up here. There are plenty of places to rent, if you can afford a vacation.

Love it! I do not go out unless I have PT or Dr's and lab visits. I am in Louisiana and it is like 95 to 98 degrees and very humid! It also rains every other day. This is a good thing because if it does not rain, we will end up with hurricanes! On top of this, I have begun pre-menopause symptoms. I have to have a personal fan blowing on me when I am at PT. All the other clients look at me like Lady what is your problem! LoL

Many yrs ago while driving my Honda Civic with 2 cats from Calif. to Fla. in June my AC stopped working in La.

it was ridiculously hot and steamy so I can understand yours umber hibernation!
