For any who might be interested, Dr Wahls has a cookbook coming out in early April. @ $14 on Amazon (kindle and paperback).

Per the email I received, if you pre-order you receive a half dozen nice bonuses.

I'm going to get. So if you decide not to pre-order, I will let you know what I think later.

StacyHayward summarize a cookbook?

Like what do you have to cut out? I've recently cut dairy due to stomach pain. List twenty pounds, ten of which I didn't need to lose. Afraid if I cut anything else I'll starve.

StacyHayward there are 3 levels. 1+2 are essentially Paleo. No grains, gluten, potatoes, sugar, rice, dairy. Eat lots of greens, healthy fats --coconut, avocado.

Level 3 puts u in ketosis with a very low carb intake. Eat organ meats 😝

I know the Wahls diet pretty well and can give a summary; erash is correct that there are 3 levels, each more strict in reducing intake of carbs & sugar. The main themes of the diet are no gluten, no dairy, low carbs & low sugar. Healthy fats are important. Grains are allowed but only non gluten whole grains such as brown rice, and these should not be staples of the diet. The emphasis is on lots of high nutrient fruits & veggies, in large enough quantities to replace the carbs we would normally eat. Certain fruits like dried fruit, and veggies such as white potatoes are discouraged because they have a lot of sugar. It gets a little more complicated but this is a summary. It's not really as hard as it sounds, and gets easier the longer you are on it.

Not really big on organ meat myself, but Wahls does emphasize meat that has been raised in a healthy way.

BillD999 sounds like you follow Wahls protocol, at least 1 or2. How long have u been doing it and how has it helped you?

I know when i adhered more strictly for the first 90 days I noticed significant improvement.

Even now, that I follow more loosely, essentially paleo, I do feel better when I eat healthier.

Food is strong medicine! 🍅
