New life...a WHEELCHAIR for MS.

i spent 15 days in bed(not sure if something added to MS) i tried to text my husband who hasnt been there anyway for food water etc. finally in the hall i couldnt get up. i had nothing left. Went to ER. PA running the the ER....ran tests i was glad had gone thru my mind. on insurance he wrote "I" asked for the tests which i hadnt said a word being in so much weakness...a bright star shown in the MRI..the tech knew so much about MS.kindness...when i got home i was determined not to lay helpless on floor if possible so i researched wheelchairs. i had no idea how many differences there were. Amazon little warranties on some and not warranties in US! one chair fit 2 of me...no insurance. i couldnt believe the change in fatigue, muscle pain etc...a saving grace. Now i find that in your city many organizations may be helpful in this area. Dont give up hope.

I got my manual wheelchair through amazon! It's been amazing for me when I'm on a flat surface, like when we're doing our weekly shop. It was about £500, and my husband has only had to put a tyre back on ONCE! To be fair, we did our 1st ms charity walk where I was in my manual.

In the UK, we've got a Motability service that you can get cars and wheelchairs though, as long as you get the Motability part on your PIP (disability benefit). I bought an electric wheelchair a year or so before I took advantage of Motability. That bit's now paying for a car, after my husband's broke and fixing it cost more than the car was worth. Legally, the car's mine, even though I'm not medically allowed to drive lol 😆 as if I managed to do so beforehand 🤣 still using my manual though 🤷‍♀️ the electric's just for when I'm out by myself.
