For 18 months , l have been suffering from chronic spontaneous urticaria. Although it doesn't itch as much as it used to , i still have it .Omalizumab is not totally working ; l take also cetirizine ( 20mg per day ) Is there anything else l could try apart from prednisolone ?

Just wondering if you have tried any off the shelf anti-itch cream just for local relief? I know they don't work for everyone though x

I have tried epimax cream and stopped it as it doesn't make any difference . Aloe vera gel seems to cool the skin but the effect isn't lasting.

I have chronic urticaria too. I do take Xolair and fexofenadine. I still get some hives; but much Much less than 6 months ago. Have you noticed any environmental, or dietary triggers? I have also had improvement from taking Quercetin & Bromelain as well as Liposomal Vit C, Vit D. Have you been to an allergist/immunologist or dermatologist yet? Also.. I have a truck when it’s Really bad. Generic Aloe Sunburn Gel with Lidocaine. I keep it in the refrigerator.

Best Wishes!

I have just read on line that some cases of urticaria can get worse by taking fexofenadine 180mg ..

I have been taking this (just took another) quite shocked to read this

So won’t be taking another one in the morning ... 😢

My issues are dozens and dozens of hives that come and go almost daily on my torso, legs and arms. Angioedema on my face, hands and feet. I’ve had many allergy test with nothing coming up positive.

No flaking of my skin though. When it flares up, the itching is maddening. Best Wishes on figuring out what’s happening and finding relief.

Thank you . l am sorry about your condition . I go to a gym and weight train .Afterwards, my CSU feels a lot less aggressive and fades away for a few hours … I also take hot baths and hot showers : that helps me (and my arthritis!) l try not to stress as l feel there is a link there ...

Phenylalanine supresses the immune system you could try it

Also DHEA can be helpful check it out

But working out what you are reacting to would help

The contraceptive pill can sometime cause autoimmune disorders

Hi, i've tried to understand what triggers this ; but without success. Only that when l am physically active they seem to regress. l shall look into phenylalanine and DHEA ; Thank you
