Skin itching on face - no solution from doctors

I used a cream around my eyes in January that stripped my skin barrier and my skin was dry and itchy. I was prescribed Elidel to calm the inflammation but it didn’t work. Flip to today and the itching has spread to most of my face and ears. I’ve seen 2 dermatologists and 5 GPs and they are all stumped. I’ve tried hydrocortisone, fungal creams and tablets, and other creams but it’s got steadily worse and is now constant. Moisturising calms the itch a bit but that’s it. As it’s spread I assumed it was an infection- bacterial or fungal but as I’m seeing a new dermatologist my gp surgery aren’t keen to see me and the referral is taking weeks. They did agree to anti fungal tablets for a week and I was using canestan cream but there wasn’t any improvement. It’s ruining my life- sometimes even holding a conversation is difficult. Any advice?

Just wanted to reply to say that I understand you are just having an awful time and it's horrible when nothing really makes any difference. I hope your new dermatologist is able to support you and make suggestions about dealing with the spread of the inflammation.
