There can be many types of skin disorders that affect humans. Some of them are temporary while others can be permanent and required to be treated by an experienced skin specialist in Delhi. Also, problems that occur in skin can be painless or painful. The disorders that are very common can have some similar types of symptoms, so understanding the differences between them is vital to treat the problem. Here are few of the most common skin disorders:

Acne - Most of the teenagers are affected by this skin condition during puberty. Though acne usually affects people aged between 11 to 30 years, it can occur at any age due to a blocking of hair follicles in the skin with oil and dead cells. It results in pimples, cysts, blackheads or whiteheads on a face, back, neck, chest, shoulders, and upper arms.

Rosacea - It is an incurable skin disorder but the treatments are available for minimizing its symptoms. It mainly affects the face and causes redness on the cheeks, nose, or forehead. Other symptoms associated with rosacea include acne-like breakouts, thickening of the nose skin, and eye problems such as swelling and redness of the eyelids. If not treated timely, symptoms of rosacea may become worse, so it is recommended to consult a good skin specialist in Delhi if there is persistent redness on your face.

Psoriasis - When skin cells grow 10 times faster than a normal rate, it leads to psoriasis disorder. The extra cells form patches on the skin, which are usually red, itchy and scaly. The patches can sometimes be painful as well. There can be various types of psoriasis, each having different symptoms. This is an autoimmune disorder that typically affects knees, elbows, scalp, back, palms, and feet.

Ringworm - It is an infection of the skin caused by a fungus and can affect different parts of the body. Its symptoms vary depending on which part it affects. Children are more prone to develop this skin problem than adults. A person affected with ringworm first develops red patches on affected areas of the skin. The patches later grow in size and spread to other parts of the body.
