Painful skin tag

I have a skin tag on my genital area which is extremely painful following a thrush infection recently. GP wont remove. I am trying vaseline, will this work and how long will it take. Rubs constantly on underwear and is extremely tender

Had your GP stated why the tag should not be removed? Health issue given? If not, request it is removed as it clearly causing you distress and discomfort. If no success- go and see another GP and if there isn't one go to a clinic.

I plan to go back but I was told that the NHS no longer remove skin tags - I'm hoping that when they see the pain I'm in they will do it.

An STD clinic will do it for you. You will not need an appointment and can just wait to be seen on the day and you don't have to go via A&E ask at Reception for directions.

Vaseline won't help the problem, you really need to get it removed. I have read that applying Apple Cider vinegar on a daily basis eventually makes the tag fall off... but it takes about three weeks

Thanks. I'm finding a combination of savlon and Vaseline is helping reduce it slowly and has stopped it hurting but I might give that a try 👍

So Sorry u r having hard time,in my area there is sexual health community clinic which deals just with these minor conditions like thrush,tags on sex. organs,STD etc.i apologise for my blunt language hope ur condition gets better very soon

PS u don't need referral its walk in,u can usually google it and find the one for ur area
