hyper awareness obsessions

I have been experiencing a hyperwareness in my visual field like looking at my nose while reading or doing anything and these thoughts become stuck in my mind so how can i deal with that

It's like falling asleep. The more you think about falling asleep, the less chance you have to fall asleep. Some mental or bodily functions are better left alone.

Have you heard of the pink elephant paradox: the more you try to suppress a thought, the stickier it becomes. Likewise, if you try directly not to focus on your nose while reading, you won't be able to help but focus on it. Just get involved in your reading, and after a while you'll forget about your nose without noticing it. You may have some relapses. No big deal. Get back on track, and reasonable trust in your ability to read normally will be gradually restored.
