Now that I know I have OCD I'm freaked out that this will be the rest of my life and I'll never go back to normal... But I've forgot about the other episodes when I went thru them.. so it's more realistic that I'll forget and then when the intrusive thoughts pop back up I'll know what it is right?

Are you asking for reassurance? Yes, it's possible that OCD will stay with you the rest of your life. Maybe, maybe not, like it's often said in OCD circles. What's important is to make progress one step at the time, and each step closer to an OCD-free life is an encouragement to keep on going in that direction. It gives you good reasons to have faith in the future and your recovery, which is sometimes a bumpy road. Don't be afraid of any setbacks. Just get up again and go forward.
