Hi everyone my name is Kayla. I have OCD. I have really bad OCD. I have a hard time driving, leaving the house, checking things, checking to make sure i got everything when i leave places, afraid that i did something wrong when i drive and so much more. I got in touch with the international OCD Foundation and they recommended to Health Unlocked. And im hoping soon i can be in a OCD group too.

Hello Kayla, welcome!

I believe the best part of this type of community is gaining awareness that you’re not alone and fighting that feeling of “why is this happening to me?” because you can see that many people have the same condition.

The biggest OCD crisis I had was in 2010, especially because I knew very little about it and the resource material on the internet was scarce. So, knowledge is power for us. The biggest advice about OCD driving (which I also experienced) is to not give up. Keep driving, even in discomfort. OCD doesn’t affect your ability or judgment. Keep trying to live your life and maintain your routine.

Good! Be proactive! I wasn’t for way too long . The more proactive you are the quicker you will recover but remember don’t rush it. Recovery is not linear. Think of it as a grain of sand at a time.

hi Kayla , this community rly cares and understands what's you're going through which is totally normal and part of the routine , if ur OCD is about checking things u can take that as an advantage because it's pretty normal to check things like locking the door etc ... plus , start setting short-term goals it rly helps , and i believe that one day all of this struggle will go away once we start rocking the world with succes , be safeeee
