Follow-up question related to I-CBT

I am currently doing some online research to identify possible sources of I-CBT for our daughter after she gets out of her current residential program (if she decide to pursue it.) Is anyone familiar with the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland, which is located in Towson, MD? They appear to be a center for I-CBT therapy and training, and they are geographically relatively accessible to us, so it seems like it could be a promising provider if our daughter does decide to pursue I-CBT.

On the other hand, I can find almost nothing about them online other than what is on their own site, which makes me somewhat wary. Also, they are "on the grounds of" Sheppard Pratt, and started out as part of Sheppard Pratt, but have apparently not been affiliated with them since 1992--and presumably are in competition with Sheppard Pratt's OWN Anxiety Center--which seems a little bit strange.

Also, am I just overgeneralizing from a small sample, or are there a lot of schisms among OCD therapists? In just a few days I have learned about one I-CBT authority who was until recently a co-director somewhere but is apparently no longer affiliated with them (and the location where he was co-director does not seem to be doing I-CBT anymore), and about another therapist who was once associated with the group offering the Bergen method treatment in Houston, but is now in private practice in Houston offering something that sounds a lot like the Bergen method but does not go by that name --while the primary location where the Bergen method is now officially being offered in the United States is in Los Angeles---and now about there being two different anxiety treatment centers, one of which was ONCE affiliated with Sheppard Pratt while a different one is CURRENTLY associated with Sheppard Pratt.....

If you aren’t that far from Sheppard Pratt, that’s great. Jon Hershfield, MFT, is one of the top OCD experts and he runs a program there. He uses ERP supplemented with Mindfulness. A couple of his books make the top five list of books on OCD treatment recommended by other OCD specialists.

I am from Canada, so cannot comment on US program; however, I do concur withNatureloverpeace regarding Jon Hershfield. I have one of his books, which I find really helpful.

I’m pretty sure there is an ocd treatment center in Boston called McLean hospital that does I-cbt. I looked into it but couldn’t afford it.
