resetting and deleting apps in hope of a new start

My son who suffers from ocd every start of the month, deletes everything from mobile apps, to computer files and all his work to reset everything in the hope of resetting his life ( perfectionism)

He is exhausted at the end of it all and since nothing changes, it demoralises him even more

Does anyone suffer from this type of “ deletion/ resetting/perfectionism” ocd ? Can it be broken, this cycle of nightmare ?

Thanks for your support

yes I do. I think this stuff overwhelms us and we try to tackle it by deleting everything but that doesn’t work.

My son had something similar. ERP helped.

Also I suggest you ask him to back his files up to the cloud. Then he need only re-set up the cloud product (e.g. dropbox) on his computer.
