I'm trying to stop doing rituals in my head,to stop having nasty flashes I call them not thoughts. I have compulsions to have nasty flashes in my head at times to make up to a certain number to stop me from having long thoughts, fantasies or to stop me from doing nasty things or to stop me from telling people my worries for reassurance. I know this is ocd compulsions . I also have to repeat certain things in numbers to ease my ocd and anxiety temporarily. It's exhausting. I'm trying not to give in to compulsions as they not helping it eases for about a minute then got do it again. Anyone else have this.

Hi. I totally understand what you are going through. Doing the (mental) compulsions for me too, only last for a couple of minutes, if not seconds. I have problems with numbers too, like doing a compulsion a certain number of times to make me feel more comfortable to let the thought go; it is a loop of thoughts and compulsions . So I do more mental, (and physical) compulsions to get rid of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th+ thoughts. (I'm saying this, not to make you feel worse, but to tell you that you are not alone.)

Do you have a doctor (therapist) that you can talk to? If not, it is important that you try to find one. He/she can help you by talking about the issues you are dealing with, and take the appropriate steps to help you feel better. I am sorry you are going through this. I know it is hard, but with the proper guidance you will start to feel better, even if it takes some time. 😊

I'm sorry. Maybe others here would know how to go about finding help sooner. I am not familiar with the options that might be available to you.
