anybody here decided to be single forever because of there is a chance of passing mental illness to a child?

Note that some couples decide they prefer not to have children, some couples get genetic counseling, and some decide on adoption.

Yes, I decided not to have children. I don't want a child to inherit my mental illness or have to deal with my illness. I longed for a partner for a long time, but I'm now okay being single. Relationships seems to bring a lot of stress and anxiety that I don't need.
