Bad day with OCD.
Hello!
You're so right about expecting the unexpected with OCD. I'm sorry you're having a rough day today. I hope you wake up to a much better day tomorrow.
Yes it can and does. Just ride the wave knowing that the wave will ease off.
I get it. The worst part for me is when I start feeling better and accomplish things and feel like myself, happy and productive and end up debilitated, back in bed all day and feeling defeated. Its like you have to just 3xpect the other metaphorical shoe to drop and set you back again. Keeping trying and hanging in there and seeing something positive in each day
Love4Doxies,I know exactly what you mean. It's like, when I'm feeling pretty good,I just don't expect it to last. I expect something to go wrong, any minute,or an hour from now,or tomorrow. It's hard for me to enjoy feeling good, dreading what may come next.I will hang in there, though, and keep trying. You do the same. Thanks!
That happen to my ... wensday... iwas going uo an stairs... and sunddenly the fear to high places came to me... i was very lucky to have an emergency out... i take a chair before and make some breath but i can not stand that... i was not ready to that... now i am okey but it bring to remember if i forget from my OCD him make me to remember him so i need to be awake of that and practice and be ready... more frecuently almost all day...
Hope you’re doing ok now.
I'm sorry you were having a bad day! You are very right about expecting the unexpected. There is a time when I don't have intrusive thoughts for months and I think (silly me) I'm like the others, I don't need to worry about these horrible thoughts anymore and when I least expect, it just comes out of nowhere and turns my world upside down. My husband asks me "aren't you used to it"... you would think I am, right? But it gets me every time
