In the past I've experienced this. The anxiety level was so high that my face would feel numb. Like it was a dream. I've also had experiences where anxiety would be extremely high and then lift momentairly and it would feel like I wondered how I got to where I was. I knew of course, but I had been so displaced by anxiety that I didn't feel connected to reality. When it lifted, I would become aware and it would seem very strange.
Unless you've experienced this it may be hard to follow, but it sounds like you have. It's just anxiety. Don't let it upset you further. As you reduce anxiety, doubt, guilt and fear these will go almost completely away to the point they will no longer be an issue. Hang in there.
Yes, I have had this. Suddenly it would feel like reality would just sort of shut off and I was watching the world through a glass wall. It was a terrifying and bizarre experience, especially when it would happen at work. What actually helped me was when I told my OCD therapist about it and she just nodded and said, "That's called 'de-realization.'" I nearly cried with relief. I said, "You mean other people have had this too?" You're not alone. It's a sign of severe anxiety. When you feel this, try to be extra kind to yourself. Sometimes just stepping outside and seeing there's a big world out there helps me.
I have had that experience before, there are a lot of different thing that can help you to be more present.

Well there is 5-4-3-2-1. You engage all your senses, I can't remember it exactly, but it's basically you look at 5 item around you, touch 4 things and feel them and their textures and such, smell 3 things, describe 2 things and listen. Although it really doesn't matter how you do it.
5-4-3-2-1 Coping Technique for Anxiety
5: Acknowledge FIVE things you see around you. It could be a pen, a spot on the ceiling, anything in your surroundings.
4: Acknowledge FOUR things you can touch around you. ...
3: Acknowledge THREE things you hear. ...
2: Acknowledge TWO things you can smell. ...
1: Acknowledge ONE thing you can taste.
Their are also a ton of grounding techniques out there.
