When OCD attacks its own recovery

Really struggling with when I get triggered by an intrusive thought, not knowing what the appropriate "exposure" technique would be. It's hard because I want to do therapy correctly, but at the same time I feel OCD is attacking my recovery, in particular planned exposures. Does anyone know of a good therapist to talk regarding this? I live in NC & am needing to see a therapist who understands this manifestation of when OCD attacks OCD and recovery becomes the OCD's gameboard.

Can't relate to what your saying exactly.

You probably have to locate someone in your county or state. Otherwise I would recommend someone here in CA. Your insurance can provide a list of therapists and/ or shrinks

Dr. Abrowitz at UNC in Raleigh or Chapel Hill. He is in the mainstream of OCD
