Hi there! I’m so sorry you are struggling with the skin picking right now. For a long time I used this as a coping mechanism or an escape from my anxiety. I still struggle with it a bit today. I want you to know that it’s ok to struggle. You should continue to be proud of yourself for the progress you have made and the progress you are going to continue to make. Healing and breaking bad habits and compulsions is not an easy process so try your best to be kind to yourself! You are beautiful no matter what your skin looks like. Trust me, I am always worried that people are judging my imperfections but it turns out I am the one who is judging myself. As for skin healing do your best to not touch it and let it heal on its own. If they are pimples I would recommend icing to reduce redness and swelling, and if your skin isn’t too dry or sensitive than some benzoyl peroxide cream to keep bacteria at bay. If it isn’t acne than I would let it breathe. Don’t use water on your face that is too warm or too cold. Luke warm is best. And maybe some Neosporin to keep everything clean? I am by no means a medical professional but these are just things that have worked for me. Wishing you the very best and sending all of the positive energy. You are strong and brave!
