Don’t listen to what your OCD is telling you!

Don't listen, and feel the buzz of doing what you want to be doing. The best one I like to do is what would 100% calm me say, that one my therapist got me doing, it could work for you, plus when the move is over you'll be back to being calm, because a move is a stressful ordeal regardless of reason.

Hi there. I had a similar feeling when we started building a new house. I told my therapist that I felt like the lot we were choosing was "bad", I told her that I had a "gut feeling" that something bad would happen if we chose to build our house on that lot. First of all, she said, there is no such thing as a "gut feeling" telling you any valuable information. Is there any outright reason why the lot is "bad"? If no, then its OCD telling you, and you just cant listen. Using the attitude that she's taught me, Ive had to tell OCD, "Okay, I hear you.. There could very well be something wrong with building on that lot, and if it ends up that there is, we'll deal with it then. I guess we'll see what happens!" Our house is nearly completed, on that lot, and everything is wonderful. OCD stopped bothering me about it when I let it know that "I DONT CARE"... I wish you the best in your new home!!

Just move! OCD does not want you to be happy.

Hello haven'the been on much lately because was feeling yuk. Your ocd has just picked up on something else to stress you. Tell it well I am moving and everything will be fine. Keep repeating it until your mind gets bored. They say moving home is one of the most stressful things to do besides the illness your suffering with. Push on through, think how happy your children will be. Wish you loads of good wishes with your move. Chin up!!
