Hi runaway12! I suffer suicidal thoughts as well sorry your feeling like this! I know in my self I won t do it! But I feel so down it's hard. Have you told your doctor about this? Hope your feeling well soon and big hugs xx
Hi! Sorry for the intense feelings! So glad you know you won’t commit suicide and OCD is just giving you thoughts that aren’t real. Please talk to your therapist about your issues with your mom. Moving out may help, but your relationship with your mom will still be there. OCD wants you to run from problems and fears- try and get help for them instead and face them💖💖💪🏻💪🏻
Hi Runaway - Have you ever lived on your own before? Besides talking to your therapist about this, I would definitely think through all aspects of a proposed move, the positive & negative.
Hi Runaway! I hope you're doing well! Hopefully things are better, but if not, that's okay too! Just wanted to share my experience, as I may have endured something similar with my mother. I love her to pieces, but she used to be very controlling and - at the same time - extremely critical of me and my choices. 24/7! I'm sure she loved me just as much, but it was a very unhealthy environment for me, especially with my OCD when I was college-aged. I had some separate financial support, so I was able to move out and share a room with other friends. Soooo much stress was relieved as I realized how much time and energy had been lost trying to appease my mom for the smallest things that don't matter when you're living independently. I was able to focus more time on building myself emotionally and mentally (including working on my OCD)! Of course, other challenges may come up from living on your own, so trust yourself determine if this is the right time for you.
