Hi

My partner had recently been diagnosed with psorasis guttae and now has another rash. Is this totally unconnected with MSA? or has anyone else experienced skin problems?

Hello,

My husband has MSA and skin conditions can definitely be part of it. Temperature control and sweating are two autonomic functions that can be problematic. My husband has 3 types of eczema that seem to have worsened since his MSA diagnosis. Also being disabled means that keeping an eye on skin is important. We are not at the stage of needing to worry about bed sores yet although we have had a brush with what happens to skin if urine or faeces from incontinence is not dealt with straight away.

I think some of the medications might have side effects on skin too.

Hope you get some proper answers as I am no expert.

Kind regards

L
