Never ending problems!

…. And I’m back! After being told prob wasn’t MSA now back to possible! Was blue- lighted into hospital suspected TIA. Thankfully it wasn’t but admitted overnight due to falling in the toilet & bladder retention whilst I was there. orthostatic Hypotension has got worse despite being on medication, tremors a plenty, unsteady even though using crutches. A Nystagmus has also raised its head which increases the dizziness and nausea. CT still nil acute. Consultant I spoke to says he is going to speak to my neurologist for review as he is concerned about the latest issues. Very frustrating but I’m glad I stayed on here!

Oh yes, keep fighting 👍💪😘

We all don't want to be here, but we are glad you've rejoined us.MSA does change the goals regularly to keep us all on our toes.

Keep a list of symptoms and issues along with medication and review regularly. Plan for all eventualities good or bad because if you don't those issues will sneak up on you.

That all sounds very familiar.Urinary problems often appear early with MSA, including the very unpleasant retention. Have you got a bladder PVR reading, anything well over 100ml is classic MSA symptom.

My hypotension didn't really respond to drugs either so I am on a high salt diet and enjoying crisps and salty french fries. BP still 90 -110 sys thougth

The challenge in coping with the problems gets harder every week with MSA. You should expect nothing less with this progressive debilitating disease. I have around 24 diffferent body systems in various states of malfunction.

However you are wrong about it being never ending, there is an end. I also keep telling my wife aka carer, when she complains that she didn't apply for the 24/7 job, I remind her that the position is only temporary.

My general advice is to never say no to any offer of help and try to get a referral to your local hospice asap, very helpful people with the right experience.

You're being very greedy having all those things going wrong at the moment same time!!! Hang on in there.
