That was a waste of time. Waited for hospital telephone appointment. No need to take hydro tablets extra weekends. That's good. Where do I get my tablets, confused me. Dr.i said. Then he went to go. My daughter said hang on. I wanted to know about other things, but asked about PALS they don't have service like that I need to ring up chemo unit. Then he was gone. I have no number counts. Nothing. Ii get so angry with myself and storm of. This upsets my daughter. I rang Dr to order hydr. And told have to order tablets through chemist. Rang chemist and ordered them asked about eye drops ordered Tuesday and not ready. Sorry lost the plot.

Waste of time
so sorry you having rough time Iv had numerous trouble getting chemo drugs now I wait 1week before going back to pick them up from hospital
Sorry and completely understand the frustration! I have developed the habit of having a list of questions to ask doctors at every appointment. I also let them know at the start of the visit that I have taken the time to write down some questions I want to make sure we get through. It is amazing the difference in receptivity amongst doctors - some are impressed and happily go through the list while others are exasperated (had one roll his eyes) but go through the list anyway - the important thing is getting questions/concerns answered. If you don't feel up to or comfortable going through the list have your support person (your daughter) do it for you. Think it important to announce you have the list at the start to help set tone and expectation.
Good Luck!
Sorry to hear about the frustrating visit. Unfortunately, it is easier to get blown off on a phone consult than face-to-face. It helps to have a written agenda for all visits, regardless of which type. I go to all appointments with an agenda and give the doctor their own copy. My docs appreciate my being organized and ultimately it is a more efficient way to ensure the appointment goes smoothly and I get my questions addressed.
I am not sure why you were told that PALS was not available. Suggest you check here yourself. nhs.uk/service-search/other... The is also POhWER that you can check into pohwer.net/ .
Wishing you success moving forward.
I take from this your Heamatologists not a MPN expert! Time for a second opinion me thinks!
