Hi all, I know it's been a while since I posted. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm 7 days from transplant, and just had my first lot of chemo today.
I will admit I'm scared that this won't work and I'll have done it all for nothing.
I've been told my odds are good with a 10/10 sibbling match, but that still terrifies me.

I think most people would be a bit stressed , 10/10 is good and itβs also itβs worth remembering the chances are it will work, wishing you good luck π
Your feelings and worries are understandable but the odds are in your favour. Please keep us updated and know we are thinking of you. Good luck and best wishes.
13 years ago today I was 11 days away from my transplant with a non familal 10/10 match in the UK. I was also 11 days away from my 58th birthday. It was a tough time but it is worth it. I have spoken to many who have trodden our path and are still around, some are still close friends. Be positive, be a person not a patient (only use your bed when you need to) and find a slot for a (re humanising) shower every day.
Best wishes.

Ps. Writing to you from France as I prepare for another days skiing.

Make sure you lean on team they are some amazing people who will get you through this. Im now just 2 years post SCT and just turned 46, sending you hugs
Very best wishes. Iβm sure you will be fine. Stay positive. I am day 143 post transplant. It was tough thatβs for sure. I think more mentally challenging for me. I have been very lucky so far as I have not been beset with problems. But I take nothing for granted. I am just so grateful for the second chance at life. Take care xx
Wishing you the best of luck for your very brave decision. I am at the stage of being asked to consider a transplant for my primary MF. Terrified at thought so a lot of thinking to do. I admire you for doing this and wish you well.
Keep your eye on the prize at the end of this procedure, a possible cure. Praying that you achieve your goal and have an uneventful recovery. Best always
Congratulations on getting this far in your health journey. Keep only the happy, positive thoughts and let the negative ones role down the road right now.
