Sorry to hear about the elevated TSH level. While I have not experienced this issue on Besremi, it is a known risk. No one can say why you are experiencing this issue without a proper evaluation. Kudos to your doc for checking and responding to the finding.
Please let us know what you learn and how you get on.
I am not on Besremi but on Pegasys. Similar thing just happened to me just last month also. My level was 16 at an annual bloodtest. I just started Levothyroxine and halved my Pegasys dose. 4 weeks later value is down to 9. Going back in another 4 weeks to see for dose adjustment. MPN doc said that 5% of Peg users may develop thyroid issues - Likely similar with Besremi.
the increase in TSH is common with interferons, but it’s likely easily treated with thyroid meds and when you have thyroid tuned up you should feel better. TSH should really be no more than 2 and Free t3 should be in upper quartile. On thyroid meds your TSH may go to near zero which is fine.
I have an under active thyroid I take thyroxine ,my levels have remained normal on hydroxycarbamide over the 2 years I have taken it
