End of hot flushes?

Hi every one. Hope you’re coping with this awful pandemic..light at the end of tunnel now hopefully. Almost a year since being diagnosed with this ET by phone! And I’ve only had phone appointments since then. Haematologist will probably start me on hydro next month and I’m wondering if those “hot flushes” will diminish.. It happens at any time of the day or night. Specially if I’m tired. I’m 76 years old so it’s not menopause. Thank you for reading this and stay safe

I am 25 and my doctor thinks that I have essential thrombocytosis I have hot flashes all night. I am supposed to go to hematologist on March 8th

Hi, I’m sorry to say that the hot flushes may not go away even on hydroxy. I have been on it for 8 years and still get terrible night sweats plus hot flushes during the day. We are all different though so you may be lucky.Karen

Sorry, I still get them. Five years on Hydroxycarbamide and nearly three years on Peg Interferon.

I’ve been taking 500 mg Hydroxyurea mon- sun for a year and I get the most awful hot flashes , I’m 45 but not menopause I’ve had complete hysterectomy. It’s sometime overwhelming and apparently no cure . If there is cure I would love to know .

I have been on hydroxcycarbamide for a year the hot flushes if anything have got worse, I want to change medication but because of covid haematoligist says no.
