Hi Birdlady, , as you might be aware night sweats are a reasonably common symptom of MPN (I used to have to change my night wear and sometimes sheets) but if this is a fairly recent change for you it will be worth mentioning to your Haematologist (if you havent already ) and he or she may decide to investigate your ET status to check if anything else has changed , possibly change your drugs / dose or reassure you all,is fine for you.

Regards - Chris

Thank you Jedireject , yes had it on and off my Gp thought HRT may help but didn’t do a thing for me so will go back to see him and in meantime get to talk with my haematologist

Hi,My GP put me on HRT for the sweats & it didn’t change at all,for several years I was told “a woman of your age”When I was finally diagnosed I was already progressed to MF,Jak2+.Find somebody who specialises in MPN’s

Birdlady2021, Vitamin C and also curcumin may help your night sweats. Vitamin C can also help with nose bleeds and purpura by strengthening blood vessels, increasing iron absorption and facilitate collagen manufacture. Check out the advantages of liposomal vitamin C and high absorption curcumin. HU causes loss of magnesium as does sweating. The krispin link offers a formula to calculate daily magnesium. Also investigate boron. It's great for bone health and as you see in this top link has other benefits that touch on estrogen. The last link is about annatto tocotrienol in collagen building. Annatto tocotrienol has other benefits including bone building. Always consult with your health care professional before using any supplement.

Coolmax pillows are a great help to put over or under any overheating zones for immediate relief 😊

I am 72 PV. I occasionally have a night sweat, also on upper chest, neck, and face. I told my mpn specialist, he was not concerned as no changes in blood counts. Best.

I get the same but not sure if mpn related or hot flushes still at the age of 60 which have been going on for 18 years. Like you chest area and for me head too. Just get damp but not needing to change nightwear. I’m on peg so not related to hu in my case
