Has anyone else had a booster letter from the NHS with the world record for the longest website address to book your booster in?
I did & thought great no need to bother the GP and try explain why I am supposed to get a booster on top of the 3rd jab. The letter even described the reason for 3rd & booster jabs.
However, my jubilation didn’t last long as phase 1 of the booking is to write the longest ever website address with short words like coronavirus, vaccination & conditions.
Coronavirus x 3, vaccination x 2 & condition only once plus lots of hyphens, forward slashes and a few covid 19s thrown in for fun.
Phase 2 your nhs number
Phase 3 your birthday getting harder to remember with each year.
Then you get a message saying you don’t need to book a booster or if you believe you should contact your GP! FFS 🤬

Brilliant, sounds really antiquated , my GP surgery do not know anything about the 4th booster jab for us with an MPN but live in hope that one day they will catch up. 🤨
Are you near a LARGE retail branch of Boots? They have started 'walk-in' covid vax clinics next to Pharmacy. Seating area, check your NHS details then jab you. Maybe phone first to check?
Crazy, , many aspects of the vaccination process esp for elderly and vulnerable haven't and still aren't being made as simple as possible and put many off I would guess.
From the website…. I have also tried booking. I’m going to visit a walk in centre this week, armed with my letter from Rheumatology, not haematology, as they don’t believe I am immune compromised!
“You cannot book a booster using this service yet, but your GP or hospital specialist will invite you for a booster when it's due.
You can also find a walk-in coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination site and attend any walk-in site offering boosters if you have a letter from your GP or hospital specialist inviting you for either a 3rd dose or a booster following your 3rd dose.
You must take your letter with you to the walk-in site.”
