It says " You registered as clinically extremely vulnerable, but had not received a letter from the NHS to confirm this. We'll share your details with the NHS.
If the NHS defines you as clinically extremely vulnerable, the NHS will contact you. Your GP will be informed.
If you told us you need help getting food and supplies, but you are not on the clinically extremely vulnerable list, we'll share your details with supermarkets. They may be able to help.
If you need support urgently, please contact your local authority""
I must say I certainly didn't register as clinically extremely vulnerable but there you are. The help I need is del. slots from supermarkets.
I hope this helps some of you with assistance.

Dazakella2010 thanks for the link. Unfortunately it only applies to England. There is a link to Wales but that just takes you to the same general information. It was the same for supermarkets, it was only the data base in England. Although we now have a system in place. No letter. PV on aspirin and venesection.
I was interested to read your last post because I am also from Wales and would like to register. Can I ask you what is the system in placed for Wales? Grateful for any information.
Hi Jeanne, there doesn't appearto be a system in Wales for registering your illness or vulnerability. There is a system on Sainsburys website for registering for home delivery. I wrote to my local AM and asked why Wales was lagging behind. Got a reply within half an hour and on a Saturday afternoon. Not much wider I'm afraid.
Thanks for uploading this. I too have just received the same txt. All I want is access to home delivery slots like you, so I don’t have to mix with people who have no clue of the ‘social distancing’ rule, that’s my only reason for signing up.
My family situation makes it impossible for me to ‘shield.’
Thanks. I’ve also just received this. Like many I just want to be able to get home deliveries so I can shield. I hate being dependent on neighbours who I barely know but have to say they have been great. Take care. Jx
I received the same e mail. As with others I just want to get a supermarket delivery slot. I’m not sure what my GP will say if they contact her as I spoke to her yesterday and she said I was not ‘at risk’.
Having not managed yet to get a delivery slot at any local supermarket, I went up to Sainsbury's yesterday and spoke to Customer Services. They were very helpful and took my details, saying that I would receive a phone call (I am already a customer) so hopefully, that will do some good. They offered to shop for me but I said that as I was there, I would do it myself. There were no queues, not many customers and the queues at checkouts were very short. I hope that will be my last shop in person but you never know.
I'm surprised my GP hasn't seemed to have done anything, not just for me, who with MDS/MPN she doesn't consider very worrying, but for my partner. When he gets any kind of infection it can throw his diabetes wild, and sometimes as a result, he ends up in hospital to be stabilised, so for that at least, we both need to be completely shielded as we are both over 75.
I did register with the government department, not for a free box of food, but just, like you, to get a slot. We isolate, and we wait, and wait.
I've also received the same email. If nothing else it will get all us mpns recognised as not just a simple illness it is recognised by the WHO as a blood cancer. And also it can make some of us extremely poorly.
Thanks for your reply Maggie. There seems such confusion about "us" within the medic community. As my GP doesn't supply me with hydroxy, he doesn't seem to have it on my list of medications and have to remind him every time. A bit of a concern?
I too went to Customer Services in our Sainsburys at the outset and was told they couldn't help at all, they were charming about it but lets hope now they are of assistance, especially to you. I do hope you get help.
I have offers of help from all around our village, many of whom I have never met which is heartening but how can they do a "whole" shop for us.
Customer Services weren't going to help me but I pressed my points a bit about age and partner's diabetes and they picked up the phone and spoke to someone behind the scenes. Regarding neighbours doing our shopping, we shouldn't expect them to do a whole shop. I am sure when they offer, they just mean if you're about to run out of something they'll tack it onto their shopping, but with shops a drive away you can't live like that. If they did do a fairly big shop of less than £45, paying would be easy because you can let them take your credit card and swipe it but I rarely leave Sainsbury's with a bill that low!
I got this same text yesterday from Gov.UK. It said the NHS will get in touch with my GP? I am unable to get a delivery slot at the moment - I was last week but even staying up until midnight for new slots I have not been able to! I might ring Morrison’s/Sainsbury’s to discuss! I can’t shield as have 2 kids and a husband who works as a food production manager so needs to go into the office. His boss is isolating at the moment though so been able to work at home this week but will be back in next week.
Good luck, I have tried to speak to tesco and asda about delivery slots, but the phone system just gives a recorded message and then cuts me off. No matter what option I choose, I haven't managed to get to speak to a person. Let me know if you manage any better than me 😊
I’ve just rung both and just voice messages - my husband said he might go to customer services desk later today at Morrisons and see what they suggest! It’s Bonkers getting a letter to be able to do nothing with it! Fingers crossed you get somewhere! X
Hi yes I have had the same text message but I have been told NHS has nothing to do with it. Also GP phoned and said they have nothing to do with it either.. Question is who does s send out the letter.
Hi I also registered on Sunday as I am shielding because of ET and other health conditions, mainly to avoid having to shop with people still standing right behind you. I also don’t need the food parcels, I just wanted to be able to get a delivery slot with Sainsbury’s, who have now registered me and I could get a delivery Saturday morning so it will definitely help over the next 10 weeks.
Also my GP doesn’t seem to have a clue about ET so I doubt they would have added me to the list. So it’s taken 4 days from registering to being recognised on the Sainsbury’s app for home delivery.
Hi I first registered on the gov website, then a few days later I got the text saying I had been registered and then a day later the Sainsbury’s app was allowing me to book home deliveries where before it said sorry we are unable to recognise you as vulnerable. So it looks like once they get the list from gov they then update their list of vulnerable people. I think it will work on both the app or website now as I was checking both regularly and it used to say sorry we don’t recognise you as vulnerable now that message has gone from both the website and the app.
Yes in the sense I had a nectar card and went occasionally to a local store. Though once I couldn’t get on Ocado anymore I set up a groceries account with Sainsbury’s about two weeks ago.
That’s all very interesting, I’ve not received anything yet, I am also type 1 diabetes, so wondered if I might do. Being able to get a shopping delivery slot would be great, there’s absolutely nothing at Tesco for the next 3 weeks & I can’t even register with Sainsbury’s. Luckily for me my son is helping out. I’ll see what today brings, stay safe everyone.
I have just did a shop online with Iceland they asked if i was vulnerable so i clicked on that i have been given a slot tomorrow between 5pm/7pm i am in Scotland but i would believe that would apply no matter what part of the country you live they have the same policy for all stores worth a try.I have ET Jac2 positive
