Just thought I ‘d tell people on here my experience as I find it inexplicably.
Luckily I managed to obtain my third Covid jab last week, (thanks to MPN Voice letter). Since then my daughter and her partner have visited and unfortunately one of them has now tested positive. Both my husband and I have been contact traced. What I found strange is that although he has had two jabs nearly 6 months ago and is now awaiting a booster he is considered fully vaccinated and doesn’t have to isolate. Yet although I have now had three jabs, the last one was less than 14 days ago, so I’ve been told to isolate! On checking my NHS app I notice the GP has recorded my third jab as my second, and on downloading my Covid passport it is now only showing a record of my last two jabs. Don’t know if this is normal, and don’t really mind isolating, but it does seem very odd that I am now more a risk to people after my third jab than I was after 2 jabs a week ago.

Definitely not ideal, but I wonder if it’s something to do with your GPs computer system not coping with the terms Third Primary Dose. I think some antiquated systems may be set up for ‘Booster,’ and computer says no to anything else. Maybe by manipulating your records in this way they have ensured you’re called back for a booster in six months? Just a thought, and I could be completely wrong too🤣
I say this because my GPs Practice have booked me in for a Third Primary Dose (now noted on my records) after having to contact the CCG, but they have informed me it has to be recorded as a ‘booster’ until they can update their systems. She also said the government are aware of this, which makes me think it’s probably not just my GPs.
To be honest just glad I was lucky enough to get a third dose, you never know when you’re going to be exposed. My daughter’s partner had no symptoms whatsoever, just took a weekly routine test. He was mortified he had been to visit us.
Thanks, would be interested to find out. It doesn’t really matter to me, but it might do to other people. Just grateful for me and my husband to be still testing negative at the moment.
My 3rd primary dose has been recorded as course to maintain protection. I've just read the letter to gps dated 30th September with jvci advice which states '• The third dose should be recorded as a booster dose in the point of care
system. Records will be retrospectively amended through a national process
to ensure that the third primary dose is accurately recorded as such. This will
ensure distinction is made between a third primary dose and a booster dose
and that individuals are invited for any subsequent doses should that be
