Anyone know who is delivering the third primary Covid vaccine?

I took the letter from MPN voice to my surgery yesterday to be told that they are only doing boosters. I have left it with a letter for my GP to see what happens, but it appears locally that they have not taken this into account as yet. Is anyone else getting a similar reaction?

Exactly the same happened to me I have e mailed Mpn and blood cancer letter to my surgery but had no reply. I heard on 8.00am news bbc2 that blood cancer have said we should all have had our 3rd jab by October 11th we will wait and see.

Exactly the same, contacted GP with letters, received a general reply from admin that case had been closed and I should await an update from admin- nothing!!!

I’ve had my third primary vaccine today but before heading up to London for it, I contacted my GP to see whether I could have it locally. I was told that I did qualify but that they didn’t have any Pfizer vaccines in stock but would phone me once they became available…I made the journey to Guy’s!

I couldn’t book the third dose on 119, they are booking only the boosters for people who had their second dose six months ago.

The person on the phone knew about the third dose and told me to contact my GP.

I made an appointment via Guy’s Covid Vaccination line - 020 7188 4040. Can be a bit hard to get through but be persistent. Or you can e-mail. You’ll need your NHS number to hand. Have dovetailed with clinic appointment tomorrow.

Otherwise the whole thing is an omnishambles. GP clueless. 119 clueless.

Try contacting your local CCG. I think they are the ones who ensure GPs and Practitioners contact the correct people. Each CCG should have a contact or complaint email address / tel no.

I had the same response when I phoned on Friday that they are only giving the booster. Iwill be taking a copy of the letters in tomorrow but don't hold out much hope of hearing anything back.

I got my appointment letter through the post last Friday, I’m booked in for this coming Friday at a local location not too far from home. I didn’t need to contact my GP or Haemotologist, it just arrived.

I had mine on Friday. It wasn’t easy and a bit of a wild goose chase at first but I had it at a local vaccine centre with the assistance of MPN Voice and Blood Cancer UK letters and a helpful GP Practice Manager.

I had a booster at my surgery yesterday. Is that different from the third jab? I had a text from Guy's but too far to travel. I'm PV JAK2.

The booster and the third jab are not the same thing UNLESS it's Pfizer.

Hi, I’m having my Booster/third dose on Monday at a Pharmacy fairly near to me. As I understand from the Blood Cancer UK letter in the link from Maz, the Pfizer Vac is the full dose but Moderna is only half dose and it’s alright for us to have the Pfizer. I’ve made sure the Pharmacy do have Pfizer in before going tomorrow. I’m ET JAK2+. . My GP’s seem to know nothing, so haven’t bothered to give them the letter. It’s a shambles! Fran

My husband out of the blue got a text last Friday afternoon inviting him to have 3rd jab at Guys. He could have booked as soon as the following day but chose to go on Monday. To be honest, this was the first we had heard of the 3rd jab. He is under the MPN team at Guys.
