Has anyone had a Covid vaccine antibody test?

Hi I emailed government on the effectiveness of the vaccine on cancer patients to see what they are doing for us as the Covid vaccine has been published as less effective in blood cancer patients

This is part of there response

I’m thinking of getting a private vaccine antibody test in two weeks which is three weeks after my second dose to see what protection I’ve built up

Hi Phil,

I asked my Heam last week and she said that my hospital are not doing the antibody tests. I have bought my own from Testing for All. I will do it next Monday when I am 3 weeks post 2nd vaccine.

Regards

Judy

I had one this week at my haematology review, though it had only been a week since second jab. I am back in 4 weeks to start interferon and expect they will retest again.

Hi thanks I emailed my haematology Secretary over a week ago but had no reply so I purchased a test yesterday private at least I will know if I have any protection It’s worth it the cost was only £49

As it had only been a week I understand from others in here it will take 3-4 weeks to get protection. This is also why they delayed starting me on interferon.

Yes I’m waiting 21 days before I use the test which will be May the 4 th and I’m at my Haematolygist appointment on May the 5 th I’ve been on hydroxycarbamide 1500 mg daily since 2015 and had my splenectomy in 2014

Hello Phil,Thank you so much for the information.

I am very concerned, as my little grandson has no immunity at all and has to spend a day in hospital every three weeks on a drip to give him some protection. I also have ET Jak2+, with very low immunity and as yet have refused the vaccine. I take HU. I don’t think we know enough or that these vaccines have been put through the normal testing regime. It would appear that we are all in the lap of the Gods and I am very worried indeed. I don’t know anyone who has had Covid, but I do know three people who have died from other things, not Covid related, but Covid has been put on their death certificates. I also know many people whose serious ailments are being completely ignored? Too much is changing in the world and much too quickly. I do not trust the Governments at all. Brainwashing, I believe, is at it’s peak and we are pawns, but the end-game is not yet clear.

For me there are four over-riding questions.

Why have the pharmaceutical companies been give freedom from prosecution if these drugs are safe?

What is the master plan of the elites like Gates, Fauci, Whitty and the WHO?

Why are the real scientists being ignored?

Why was I thrown off Twitter for asking these questions?

The answers have not been forthcoming.

Keep well and thanks again for the information.

Hi I’ve had my two vaccines now I’m putting my faith in them to be honest but I’m disappointed with the government’s response to my email regarding the levels of protection offered to blood cancer patients and even more dissatisfied at having to wait to September for there trials to conclude I’ve just purchased two nasal sprays that kill COVID £15 each from Lloyds pharmacy online Viraleze anti viral nasal spray

It’s sad to hear regarding your young grandson it’s heartbreaking to read I hope he will have a good outcome

God bless

Phil

Thank you for your comments Phil, and your kind words. It would appear that the Government don’t consider cancer patients important enough to supply us with antibody tests.

Frankly, if the antibody tests are as flawed as the PCP tests, one wonders if it is all a waste of time anyway.

Still, i’m sure that people like Matt Hancock, Johnson, and Liz Truss are making a mint out of them. How do they sleep at night?

Kindest regards,

Hi I thought I’d add my recent experience with Covid Antibody testing. Like many I was diagnosed with ET and Jak 2 positive almost 5 years ago and have been on Hydroxycarbomide and baby aspirin and doing well. 2 years ago I was also diagnosed with Giant Cell Artiritis and put on high dose Prednisone now thankfully only on 5mgs daily. I’ve had both of my Covid injections 1st in December and 2nd in January (I’m a critical worker) and took a NHS Covid antibody test 4 days ago. I’m so shocked my results have come back this morning as Negative result - the blood test did not detect Covid antibodies. Has anyone had the same result or has anyone obtained a T cell lymphocyte blood test through their Gp or other resource? Wonder should I go back to shielding and perhaps ask for another round of Covid injections or has Hydroxycarbomide and prednisone wiped out my immune system totally? Will speak to Gp tomorrow but wondered if there’s any answers in our group? Thanks in anticipation.

What a disgrace that is none ! What a waste of time that is for us I’m same as yourself I previously was on predisolone 75 mg a day reduced down over weeks Then had a splenectomy

I’m now on hydroxycarbamide 1500 mg daily

With lots of other medication

I’ve just had to purchase my antibody test kit private as my GP and the Christies in Manchester won’t do it !

I’ll let you know my results in two weeks as I only had second vaccine a week ago

Thanks

I had both Pfizer vaccines in December and January. I had an antibody test last week which came back negative. I have written to my haematologist to ask him what to do. I have also queried whether there are different antibody tests, and whether I need a booster ( if that is possible at present). Meanwhile I shall continue being very cautious about mixing with people.SkipperL

Hi I was reading up on blood cancer uk this morning apparently the antibody test only looks at one of two immune protections it doesn’t look at T cells Professor Harrison is doing a study on 100 MPN patients to look further into this

But blood cancer uk is saying you might still have T cells which will give protection

Thanks

Phil

Well let’s hope so! I do think further clarification will be needed as to what the antibody tests actually show......
