I waited for letter as promised for new appointment at Integrative London Hospital in Aug to replace the one they had cancelled.
Rang to say hadn’t heard only to be told I need to make the appointment not them !!!!!!!
I rang back a bit later as person I spoke to wasn’t helpful. This time got a lovely girl who gave me phone number of the secretary . She was apologetic and has found me a cancellation for the head of department who works in the same way as dr I had requested .
So I’m pleased .
We really do need to muster up the energy to assert ourselves don’t we…….

Hi Mostew , yes it certainly pays to take control of your health care, shout out if needs be and be proactive as opposed to reactive. Over the years I've found this approach pays dividends along with politeness and respect.
Only a few days ago I realised my scheduled appt for Manchester Eye Hospital had not materialised though I was told I might not hear anything for 6 months or more. I've no problem as such but I need a regular check up because the danger is you drop off the books if too much time elapses which means a fresh referral. So I rang up, put my smiley voice on with an obviously stressed receptionist and empathised with her over how stoked out they were. I stressed i was not wishing to jump the gun but willing to wait my turn and lo and behold 2 days later an appt for mid August . 😃 (must check it's 2021 and not 22 ! )
Had lots of the same as you I now never leave it long before I get on to them, it's not the doctors it's admin now find numbers to ring to get things done myself
There is no question that assertive patients receive higher quality care. Passive patients do not. Glad to hear that you are getting the the appointment. I hope you find your Integrative Care doc to be as helpful as I have.
