Lucky you! I got my first 23 January but not heard a single thing since. Did you have Astra Zeneca or Pfizer?

Yes. I had my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine a week ago. I did react to the shot with a low fever, aches, and chills. It went away after 24-hours.

I was booked on 30th March, next Tuesday for the first shot, a bit nervous due to our conditions, but after reading all of your posts I hope I'll be ok. Second dose already booked on end June, the 13th week after first dose. When we had our first dose booked they booked for us date of the second dose as well. Love to hear all of your reactions after 2nd dose.

Ooh, numb arm for 3 days! I hope you reported it as an adverse reaction. That sounds quite bad.

Hope the next one goes better.

Booked in for my 2nd Pfizer jab next Wednesday 11 weeks exactly after the 1st to which I had a sore arm the next day so more of that would be ok

Hi Jody,I had my second Pfizer jab last Thursday - 5 weeks after the first.

The hospital vaccination unit have been superb, and they actually phoned me after that article from the BBC came out.....the head of the unit came out specially to see me, and said that as soon as they had an immunity testing facility in place they’d be in touch.

They’re working pronto on it apparently because they want to test everyone coming in for an operation - I’m not having an operation but they want to use me as a guinea pig to see what my immunity is like.

Can’t ask for more than that.

I took 40 quids worth of chocolate with me to say thank you.

These folk are massively undervalued.

HiWell I did really really push right in the beginning and took the bull by the horns.

Couldn’t have an Oxford ( allergic to histidine) and was then told no Pfizer in the area, so I emailed three CEO’s of NHS trusts ( root around on tinternet for addresses) saying it was imperative I had my first vaccine.

Within 24 hours I was booked in to Blackpool which is out of my area actually. I then emailed the head of the vaccine department to say thankyou so much for squeezing me in and sent her a box of choccies via hotel chocolat.

She was the lady who emailed me for my second vaccine.

Nowt like a nice thankyou for making friends!

If you’ve had the AstraZeneca you have to wait 12 weeks, but the Pfizer so this lady says, is fine if given a bit sooner.

Good luck. Email a CEO and say you’re very worried and have a rare blood cancer. You never know.

Ps I had a vaguely uncomfortable arm, was a bit more tired than usual, and had aching limbs. Couple of days, nothing to worry about, then I was a right as rain.God bless the vaccine developers and the NHS I say.

And thank heavens we left the EU. My word are they showing their true colours now, even more so than before.

I think they are now trying to pre- empt any shortages of the vaccine next month by getting 2nd doses done earlier than they initially said. should be no problem!

I have my 2nd dose on 2nd april, 6 weeks after my first. I had the Pfizer, spread arm and a bit more achy for 3 days. So hoping I'm ok after this one.

Hello

I had my 2nd Covid jab Tuesday (23 March), 6 weeks after my first. Had Pfizer - (I have PV). A little sore at the top of my arm. Headache during the night but a paracetamol cured that. Ok when I woke up 😃
