Covid Vaccination side effects

Has anyone else experienced side effects from getting a covid vaccine?

I got my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine a week ago. Ever since then I have been having headaches and running random temperatures between 99F and 100F. My normal is 96.8F. Appreciate any responses especially since I have one more shot to go.

I had the first shot of Pfizer a few days ago and so far, only a sore arm, but I've talked to others who have had similar reactions to what you're describing. Still, since it's gone one for more than a couple of days, have you talked to your doctor? I also believe that Pfizer has a help line for questions on reactions, so that might be another source for information. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. Kim

I had my 1st vaccine on Monday - Oxford AstraZeneca. I felt a bit achy the day after, not bad enough to not work, but enough to need paracetamol every 4 hours, no raised temperature or headache.

My 80-year-old mum had the Pfizer vaccine a few weeks ago and apart from a sore arm at the injection site, she was absolutely fine.

Then, my youngest daughter (34) had the Pfizer vaccine at roughly the same time as my mum. She had it on a Friday and felt so poorly she spent the whole weekend in bed.

It appears different people react in different ways to them, but as your side effects are dragging on I would definitely get it checked by your GP.

Hope you feel better soon. x

I had the Astra zeneca one. Felt as if I was having the flu the day after. I couldn't get warm, which is unusual for me as I don't feel the cold. Arm was a bit sore a couple of days later. I did read that if you have a reaction it shows your immune system is really working, how true that is I don't know. My daughter had the Pfizer one and other than sore arm no problem. Her husband had the Astra Zeneca one and he had aches and bad head. Luck of the draw I suppose. Anyway, what's the alternative!!.

I had the Pfizer jab on the 1st Feb, apart from a bit of a sore arm for a couple of days I was fine. I think it’s a bit like the flu jab, people react differently to that too. I hope you feel better soon.

I had the AstraZeneca three weeks ago. I had slight fever, and was pouring in sweat the first night. I felt sick/dizzy, and my arm hurt a lot for four days, then it all began easing off gradually. I felt a lot better after a week, but have been feeling very tired. I have ET and am on Hydrea. So I've been taking things easy and resting lots.My mum is 90 and she had the Astra too, but totally different side effects. She had no pain in her arm but she had a high fever for two days/nights and was wheezy. Then after that she was fine. I guess we are all different.

Sore arm, but it is worth it. What’s a couple of days of mild discomfort compared to dying, suffocating with Covid-19?

If the body’s response to illness or vaccination is to raise the temperature as part of its immune system, does it make sense in adults to take medicines to reduce the temperature?

I have taken my Vitamin D regularly, and eaten healthily, avoided alcohol, got plenty of sleep, and avoided strenuous exercise.

I want as many antibodies as possible from my vaccination.

Hello Amyhikes. Yes, I had a high temperature for two or three days after the first and second Pfizer vaccination and also quite bad ectopic beats after the second one, which lasted on and off for eight months. Then I had the Moderna booster which made me quite sick for two weeks, but thankfully the ectopic beats stopped! Many people get no reaction at all and others a variety. You can download all the reported side effects of each make of vaccine. I had COVID about a year ago. Good luck!
