Reaction to Covid vaccine

Anyone else have a reaction to vaccine 1 or 2? I’m having a battle to try and get my 3rd vaccine. Spoken to the only Covid allergy specialist in Scotland. I’m now in the process to request a N- antibody test. This will hopefully indicate if I had Covid in April 2020. I’m

Surprised Pfizer may be a possibility. My GP is against Pfizer as I had heart pain after the 2nd vaccine. It’s all very complicated.

I had a reaction to dose 3 of Moderna. Just like having a 24-hour flu. There is support for mixing vaccine types. You could opt for a third dose of something other than Pfizer. Speaking as someone who currently has COVID, I support optimal vaccination. It does make a difference.

I had AZ in February 2021 heart flutters, and 2nd jab AZ in April heart flutters worsened, I had broken my skull, double seizure in Jan. 2018, [epilepsy] but my balance worsened after April, my use of my left arm was practically useless, right hand was a 'bit better', I have Schwannomatosis and two schwannomas appeared day after 2nd jab, both 1st and 2nd jab in left arm, booster pfizer, right arm [and turmeric, thanks again Hunter!] no after effects, in Nov. 2021. By November side effects of AZ had nearly worn off. Turmeric excellent for righting my balance. Heart monitor tests proved it was the effects of AZ vaccine. I would do the same again as 2021 was not a 'good year' in a heart beat, I am registered vulnerably disabled, so if I had not had a vaccine my chance of survival was slim! (I can now wash dishes with both hands now🤗)

This is a very similar experience to my Pfizer reaction. Thanks for the reminder of Turmeric. I used this when I had covid in April 2020.

I had a reaction after dose 2 of the AstraZeneca vaccine. I developed swelling of my feet and ankles, a pin prick rash on the top of my feet and bruises under my toenails - A small injury caused by my ankle boot rubbing the skin on my ankle also took nearly 3 months to heal!

I had an ECG, x-rays and numerous blood tests and nothing abnormal was detected - my GP's only response was that she had no idea what caused the Oedema and other issues. The AZ vaccine wasn't attributed to it. BUT as I'm not over weight, exercise daily, have an excellent diet, and have never experienced this before my view is that the vaccine must have caused it...

I haven't had any further vaccine, and I haven't as yet decided whether I'm going to. I had an antibody test in late November, and it showed that I had developed antibodies from the vaccine.

I know I can't have the Pfizer vaccine, as I have previously had allergic reactions to multiple medications. While I decide what to do next, I'm boosting my immune system. I take daily supplements of Vit D, Magnesium and Zinc, and make sure that I include honey and ginger in my diet - I also use a Neti-pot to rinse out my nasal passages daily and also gargle twice a day.

I have thankfully avoided Covid and have been out and about as normal, obviously wearing a triple layer mask and sanitising my hands. So I'm doing everything I can to avoid it while continuing to live my life.

The day after my 2nd Pfizer I had a severe headache and couldn’t tolerate any light. I slept for nearly 30 hours and by the time I woke it was all over! I have had a 3rd and 4th Pfizer and had no reaction at all, like with the first. I am ET Jak2+ve.

My fit and healthy brother had a bad reaction to the Pfizer vaccination. It is thought that it went into a blood vessel. The symptoms got worse following the second Pfizer dose. Research in mice has shown this happens when mRNA vaccines are given IV even if the second dose is IM.

He had severe pain in his upper arms and was unable to lift them. Fortunately the doctor in A&E recognised the symptoms and loaded him with steroids before his heart was damaged, but he still has tachycardia and high blood pressure.

I had shingles a few weeks after the second AstraZeneca. Apparently that is fairly common. My immune system response to the vaccination. It was not pleasant, but preferable to Covid.

Your brother's reaction seems similar to mine. At the moment the NHS is unwilling to consider this can happen for me. I've finally been given approval for an N-antibody test. Hoping I've already had Covid-19 in April 2020.

ET jak2+ on peg. I had AstraZeneca for the first 2 with horrendous side effects, I then had Pfizer for number 3 and 4. The 3rd one, nothing at all and 4th just a sore arm.

There are actual side effects caused by the medication, and then there is your body’s response to a vaccination, things like pain at the injection site, fatigue, temperature, aches, shivers, which are unpleasant, but they don’t last long and you develop antibodies. The third is damage caused by the vaccine being given into a blood vessel in error which can cause damage to major organs which would not have happened had the dose been given into muscle.

Yip. My main symptom was a high heart rate. After the second dose (the first or second may have hit a blood vessel) this lasted for 4 months. GP advised to avoid that particular manufacture - in case the next response is permanent damage. Having a N-antibody test tomorrow.

Hi _ I am going to take my chances & not have the vaccine - the ones I had in the past made me feel 'odd' mentally - inability to focus & concentrate- especially when driving. This lasted for a few weeks. Think it will be masks, cleaning & sanitising this winter...... Good luck to everyone ...
