Covid jab and interferon injection

Hi

Hope everyone is doing OK.

Quick question.

I had my second covid jab this morning. Iam due to have my interferon injection this evening. (45MG EVERY OTHER WEEK) wondering if it is OK to still have my injection same day as my covid jab

Hi Elab. I don’t know about the same day but I had my second covid jab the day after my injection and haematology nurse said that would be ok

Hi thank you for your reply.I decided to not have my injection same day as my covid jab. Having it tonite instead.

Hope the second jab went well for you!

My specialist advised me that there’s no issue having vaccine & interferon close together, but felt it’s a good idea to leave 24-48 hours between them. Her reasoning was if, on the off chance, I had vaccine side effects they might be masked by interferon side effects.

I did the same thing you’re doing, pushed my interferon out by a day and felt fine 👍🏻

I had no side effects after my second jab (first one was like bad cold for a day... No energy etc) so all is good.
