Some notable items:

-PV causes excess red blood cells from marrow malfunction( we are familiar) EPO is often too low.

-2ndary polycy is from excess EPO production, so EPO is too high (I did not know that)

-Some athletes intentionally add RBCs to create temporary polycythemia with deliberately increased HCT.

-Thick blood from PV causes high BP. ( I had crazy BP at Dx even with HCT only at 50)
