Voice MPN ET Blood Tracker results

Just sharing some of my blood results that I downloaded on the MPN Voice ET Tracker results. Viewing these I suspect I may have had my ET since before 2002. I had a blood clot while travelling from Australia to Jordan in 1999. I travelled a great deal in those days as I lived in Bahrain, Arabian Gulf. Bone marrow Biopsy took place in Jan 2012 confirming ET Jak2 diagnosis. I started Hydrea 500mg daily in January 2016 when platelets reached the 1,000. I don't have a copy of those results.

I hope some find this interesting.

Hi anna, i think the vast majority of people on the forum have had an mpn many years before being diagnosed. I know for sometime when i had to have blood tests the gp had often remarked on my 'blood counts being a touch high' but"nothing to worry about". By then was suffering terrible symptoms,ie, visual disturbances,pins & needles and digital ischemia to name but a few. When i finally got a diagnosis after a bmb, my platelets had fell over a cliff! But expecting gp's to be more clued up on mpns when a majority of haematology consultants just don't grasp or fully understand the mpns we have shows their still a long way to go in people getting an early diagnosis.Atb,tina.🤗

Thank you Tina, I agree, I am not sure what the answer is. Perhaps more funding for targeted research.
