The MPN Voice ‘virtual’ patients’ forum, Manchester, hosted by Prof Tim Somervaille, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, Dr Rachel Brown, Manchester Royal Infirmary, and Dr Rowena Thomas-Dewing, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, their talks feature diagnosing and treatment of ET, PV and MF, and current trials and studies.

Maz Campbell-Drew talks about MPN Voice, ‘who we are and what we do’ and Louise Broughton shares her experience of PV from her diagnosis and managing her symptoms.

The panel Q&A session with questions from the audience, also included an update of the findings of the recent study conducted by Dr Bethan Psaila, Oxford, looking at COVID antibody response in people with MPNs.

The forum is chaired by Jon Mathias, Co-Chair MPN Voice.

The breakout groups are not included in this video for reasons of confidentiality and privacy.

We would like to thank Prof Somervaille, Dr Brown and Dr Thomas-Dewing for taking part in this forum, we are very grateful to them all for giving their time to support the MPN community in this way during these very challenging times. We are also very grateful to Louise Broughton for sharing her MPN journey. And a huge thank you to the Guy’s & St Thomas’ Commercial Service Directorate team for all their help and assistance in producing this forum, we are very grateful for everything, thank you Danni and team.

Thanks - although I attended I will take a look again, it was such a helpful event - and I really thank all of you for the hard work and kindness put into it all, such a support and lovely to connect with all via the infamous Zoom. The breakout room was so supportive. Hope you got that well deserved large piece of cake and chocolate after too Maz!! Jill x

Super impressed with the forum video. Well presented by everyone. I hope that more forums can be presented this way as I won’t be mixing with any crowds but don’t want to miss them. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Thank you, we are so grateful to the haematology teams who are supporting us with the virtual forums, especially during these challenging times, and it is great that we can keep in touch with our MPN community in this way and that so many people can watch the videos, like you, in their own time. Hi Maz, just to echo what others have said, thanks so much to you and all involved in putting together this excellent virtual event. I would not have been able to attend in person, given work, so the virtual format was extremely convenient. Very interesting Q&A - glad that made the video - with the (very preliminary) COVID resistance findings and discussion on the necessity or not of BMBs. Susana x
