Hi I am early stage PMF and only take antihistamines for really bad itching following Shower/bath. I have recently started getting some night sweats but not at the stage where I feel wet. My questions to you are does anyone have these sweats during the day and has anyone experienced an itchy raised rash.

Hi Skye, sorry to hear about your sweats, they are not nice. I have spells when I’m soaking through the night, then chilled and I then usually get them through the day too.
My skin is ultra sensitive since being diagnosed and I do have short spells of odd rashes.
Hi I had itching for years and before I was told I had polycythaemia vere after a routine yearly blood test for my blood pressure meds I tried lots of different things for showering, it was trail and error, I find showing in the coolest water possible patting skin dry instead of rubbing really helps and applying moisture gently helps.
Hi I have found that using a microfiber cloth for washing has reduced my itching a lot. Better even than real sponge. Also dry yourself fast and get dressed helps.
Thank you Kelly2 I haven’t tried the microfibre cloth but I will now. I have found that cool water and getting dress straight does help and I don’t moisturise my body when I’ve showered I have wait until later I’ve also found showering later I in the day helps too, it’s strange but we have to find these things out for an easier life.
