Hi petsch,
I am on hydroxy and the only supplement I take is circumin. I think that there are members on the forum who take vitamin D. Hopefully, they will respond.

Does anyone take aspirin when on hydroxy
Hi
I take a calcium & vitamin D supplement prescribed by my GP and my haem is aware. I have been on hydroxy since 2012 and been taking it all that time with no issues. Best Wishes Liz
Hi Liz
You need to take magnesium to balance calcium, if not you are heading for a heart attack or stroke , avoid taking magnesium oxide or citrate they are laxatives. Please read this article .

Hi Peter
Many thanks for that information it is very much appreciated. Best Wishes Liz
Liz you also need Vit K2 to put the calcium into your bones, watch your calcium levels. Don't take calcium and magnesium together.

Hi
I take lots of supplements the most important one is magnesium, why are you taking calcium?
Peter
Hi Peter I’ve been researching magnesium supplements. Can I ask what effects it has had and how much do you take?
Thanks
Jaynie
Hi Jaynie
I take Doctors Best magnesium caps and magnesium flakes in the bath and mag oil on the legs. Magnesium Oxide and Citrate are not good ones to take, they are laxatives. Magnesium has changed my life for the better, it has de-calcified my body, it took over two years , I no longer suffer from chronic fatigue. I take magnesium every day in one form or another. I believe MPN patients have a greater need for magnesium, I tried to take in the region of 600-800mg a day.
Peter
Thanks Peter! I’ve been craving certain foods just recently which is unlike me; peanut butter, whole meal bread, bananas, cashews... All great sources of mag so I think my body is trying to tell me something! I’m going to start on 300mg and see how it goes.
I appreciate your advice, thank you! Stay well
Jaynie
It's good to check out with supplements and a med like hydroxea. I hsve checked out all that i take with prof Harrison. Tumeric, vit d, fish oils, folic acid, all fine. I did ask about d ribose this week for fatigue, that is fine. I am very interested in your use of it and if it has helped and dosage. Thank you. Mal.

I take several supplements and all approved through my oncologist: Garlic, Flexseed capsule, vitamin D, Cinnamon, and Cod Liver Oil capsules
when first diagnosed I tried the natural things that were suppose to help reduce the red blood cells and did ok for a while but was not the answer completely those natural things were :garlic, dark chocolate, red wine, polmagranite -I still continue to take I think it must help my immune system somewhat as I work in Medical field and am exposed to all kinds of illnesses in hospice and so far so good and its been over a year now
