Travel to Vietnam

Hi

I wonder could anyone help with advice about injections for travel to Vietnam. I am going at the end of next week and suddenly thought about injections being updated. I am jak 2 + E T and take hydrea and plavixv. Will speak to Dr but thought you all might have a good idea about this. Thanks Margo

Hi margo,

You will need to make an appointment asap with your practice nurse. At the very least I would think you will need a hep A & typhoid vaccination. Depending on what you are doing/where you are staying you may decide to have others. Have a great holiday

As said you need to get advice from docs. I just had my thyphoid injection for Thailand . I was told you cannot have any 'live' vaccines . Just make sure . I have Et jak2+ on aspirin and hydroxy .

Hi thank you all for your input. On your advice Maz I contacted my consultant and am able to have both Tetanus and Typhoid

Fit for travel is a really useful website margo , you can search the destination you are going to & it will tell you all the current health info you could possibly need inc vaccinations.
