MPN VOICE SEPTEMBER 2014 FUNDRAISING UPDATE

Hello Everyone

We hope that you are keeping well and that you have had a wonderful summer, long may the sunshine last.

We would like to thank all our wonderful supporters for their fantastic fundraising during the summer. MPN Voice has seen supporters have various Coffee and Cake Mornings, Garden Parties, Craft and Retro Bling Fayres, Treasure Hunts as well as personal challenges which have included Half Marathons, a Triathlon, The Great North Run, to name but a few.

All these amazing events will be featured on the new look MPN Voice Website, which will be launched later this autumn.

If you would like to support any future events, here are some that are happening in September and October.

Sunday 21st September Vintage Gathering and Road Run

Marion, her husband and a group of friends are holding a Vintage Gathering with a Road Run (entry £5) and raffle, to raise funds for MPN Voice. The gathering begins at 12 noon, with the Road Run at 3 pm, it will take place at The Yew Tree Inn, Church Lane, Cauldon, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST10 3EJ.

Marion’s husband is the vintage enthusiast owning a 1908 Steam Traction Engine, a vintage lorry, old tractors, Green Goddess fire engine and a 1954 Series 1 Land Rover! Lots of their friends will also be bringing their vintage vehicles for a ride out.

End of September, Nottingham Half Marathon

Mark Caron has always been a fantastic marathon runner, but his MPN and running injuries have held him back a bit, so his wonderful children, Rebecca and Thomas, decided to do some running for him and they have recently completed The Great North Run for MPN Voice!! This has spurred Mark on and despite a torn calf muscle injury, which has really upset his training, Mark is taking part in the Nottingham Half Marathon at the end of September for MPN Voice.

Great Scottish Run 10k on 5th October 2014

Cara and her family and friends have done some amazing fundraising for MPN Voice and this time Cara is challenging herself to do a 10k run. Cara started running earlier this year and is really enjoying it, so she thought, why not get fit and raise some money for MPN Voice!
