Hi. I was just wondering does anyone on here suffer from fibromyalgia/ chronic fatigue syndrome. I'm wondering which is worse for me - the low mood/frustration or pain and fatigue. Are they all connected??

Good vibes to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I think pain certainly contributes to depression. There's a great site on chronicpainsite.com.

I am also a CFS sufferer. I think all the symptoms come as part of the parcel and accepting that you cannot do that much to make a full recovery will reduce your frustration.

Take care.

I do i go on the fibro site and find it very helpful.,

newly diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic migraine syndrome and chronic pain syndrome. I find the most frustrating symptom is my painful stiff hands and the spasms i get when i try to use them for fine motor skills ie writing, putting on make up etc. My consultant is not much help in telling me which one of these conditions if any are causing hand problems. Unless you suffer from CFS you can never understand the fatigue. My partner although sympathetic just doesnt get it that I cant leap out of bed in the morning. Sometimes I just want to sleep and sleep. It is so frustrating. I think my depression comes from the fact that I am too hard on myself and think I should try harder to do things. I still sometimes think I am just a lazy person although I know this is ridiculous. I have been off sick from a job I love for 5 months now and dont know whether to try to get ill health early retirement or just stick it out for a bit longer hoping i will feel better
