Yes .. I have .. It is most difficult to prove as the alienating parent generally gets the children to side with them .. All we can do is what Kenster1 has said .. Hope

It is so hard at times because I feel like giving up. My son won't even come to see me and his brother

It can be a form of abuse toward the child from His Father, the problem will be quite upsetting for the child as the vindictiveness can be destroying the child and feelings towards you. My Father was very much the same, it started in my teens. He would go through all his problems with My Mother, we would go for a drink one day a week in my early times and my ear would be bent throughout our night out. It put the fear of a broken marriage and two Sisters a great deal younger than me in an awkward situation. This needs to stop and His Father needs some form of CBT.

You could try RELATE Marriage Guidance or remembering my problem, would put this down to a form of Abuse and could be directed as so. Talk to the child GP.

One thing however I would suggest be firm and kind to the Lad, although do not allow Him the chance to attack you with the venom got from His Dad. Understand the Son is in a rotten place, someone else needs to pick up the tab. The Father.

Just a further thought, in my case I was going through some very bad times. Eventually the whole problem effected adulthood as the calling began to affect my sexual relationships.

It actually affected My Wife when with my family and was a massive cause of us both not having Children.

I'm confused when you say marriage guidance

Are you living in the UK or elsewhere , like USA

We have centres in the UK that deal with marriages in trouble, they deal with and try and help couples that need of help

The USA recognises PA unlike UK .. Can you arrange a meeting with a Lawyer as they will inform you of your rights .. I have not seen my children for many years and the hurt cuts so deep .. We mist never give up .. We must continue throughout thick and thin on the off chance that our children may need us someday

Personally I have not but my friend was going through a situation where his ex was poisoning his son against him causing his son to lie about him to teachers. I encouraged my friend to attend family counselling with his son (11 years old at the time) so they could work through perspectives and truth in a stable safe environment. Hope this is of use to you

Contact a Therapist for both you and your son too visit, hopefully you will be able to discuss your problems. Also suggest some suggestions

Advice may be forthcoming from a Solicitor if you seek advice on the best way to handle the relationship between Son and Father. Something needs to be done, if possible to stop the vindictive attitude via Son to you, It will be just as distressing for your Son as you.

Bob, I have a court order in place for my son and I to see a counselor but we see then separately. I just spoke to the courts today and they are preparing to "make" my son come visit me. My fear is that this will make the situation worse. Advice?

Thank you for the help😀
